Communications Lab

The Communications lab is an important part of student success!

In a study conducted in the Spring of 2009, it was discovered that:

• The Communications served 2,663 students out of the total 12,608 students enrolled that semester. That means the Communications Lab served 20.8 % of the student body of OCCC!
• 73.6% of students who used the Communications Lab continued on to higher level courses compared to 58.3% of students who did not use the Communications Lab.
• Students who only used the Communications Lab once had a higher average GPA (2.48) than those who never used the Communications Lab (2.20)
• Students who used the Communications Lab more often had a higher average GPA (2.52 – 2.78) than those who only used it once or never.

In the Spring of 2010, the Communications Lab had 2,844 tutoring sessions!!
