Assignments

There will be eight writing assignments.  Criteria sheets are provided for each assignment so that you will know exactly how you will be graded. Follow these steps to download a file that your instructor may send back:

1. From the Homepage, choose the Assignments icon and click.

2. Choose the appropriate assignment and download the files for that assignment.  Name the assignment and **save it to a folder you have created especially for Study Skills in My Documents if you are using Microsoft Word.

3. Complete the assignment and save it again.  Submit the completed assignment to your instructor.  (Hint:  If you simply click on Save without changing the window to My Documents, it will be saved to a temporary file, and you may not be able to locate it later.)

Quizzes and Discussion Board

·        Most quizzes will have a writing portion that will be graded by your instructor.

·         Points will be given for responses to Discussion Board topics.  Total Discussion Board points will equal a quiz grade.
