College names new vice president

OCCC President Paul Sechrist announced on Dec. 18 that Felix Aquino will be the school's next Academic Affairs vice president. He will begin in January.
Aquino comes to OCCC via State Center Community College District in Fresno, Calif. where he was the vice chancellor for Educational Services and Planning, and chief instructoral officer.
He received his bachelor's in anthropology from Queens College of the City University of New York. He then received his master's and doctorate in anthropology from Boston University.
He has also been a presidential finalist at Sussex Community College in Newton, NJ, Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kan., and Northland Pioneer College in Holdbrook, Ariz.
