Ice being cleared from campus parking lots

Parking lot A, parking lot A North and parking lot A South has been closed Thursday for ice removal. Physical Plant Director J.B. Messer said the goal is to have these parking lots open tomorrow.           

On Friday, parking areas B and C will also be closed for ice removal, according to an e-mail sent to faculty and staff by OCCC Safety and Security Officer Kevin Tipton.

New students being offered taste of OCCC during Opening Day

Popcorn, cotton candy and faculty-guided tours are just a few things that will be offered to students between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., Jan. 20 as part of OCCC's spring semester's Opening Day, First-Year Experience and Student Life Coordinator Sara McElroy said.

She said tables will be set up by each division with information about what those divisions have to offer incoming students. Student Life also will have a table set up informing students about the various clubs and organizations on campus.
