OCCC Counselor Maurisa Mahan will host a seminar on love relationships as part of the Brown Bag Lunch Series at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in room CU2 in the student union.

Mahan said the seminar will consist primarily of discussions about the book, “The Five Love Languages,” written by Gary Chapman, a Christian marriage counselor and radio talk show host.

“The book is about how different people give and receive love in different ways, such as gift giving or hugging,” Mahan said.

Mahan said she, during the luncheon, she will show that, while some actions can be interpreted as actions of love by some, others might see those actions differently, depending on the person’s personality type.

Gary Chapman has written more than 20 books since 1979. “The Five Love Languages” has sold more than four million copies in English, and has been translated into 36 languages.

Chapman also has made numerous appearances on television programs and his daily radio program, “A Love Language Minute,” can be heard on radio stations across the country.
