For many students, summer offers the opprtunity to take a break from classes and homework while, for others, it's a chance to earn a few more credit hours.

The final day to drop any summer semester class and receive a W is by 5 p.m., July 14 — one month away.
Mary Turner, Student Development counselor, said when making the decision of whether to drop a class, students need to be most concerned with protecting their academic history. It can be the difference between an F or a W on a transcript.
