Band plays college union April 4

The musically-diverse University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma show band will come to OCCC campus April 4.

The 20 piece band and five vocalists will be add a flavor to the cafeteria during the noon hour.

From a Motown medley to a good ol’ country song, the USAO band will have something for everyone.

“The band provides entertainment and enjoyment,” said Donna Settle mires, band manager and sound director.

Dan Hanson, USAO professor of music, directs the band. Hanson said the band is “a welcome social break from the normal routine of studies.”The band members put in alot of practice to be able to perform flawlessly in front of people, saidHanson.

“They have been invited to perform at many different universities like North Texas State and have received standing ovations as well.”

The concert will be performed in the college union April 4 from noon to 1 p.m. and admissions to the concert is free.
