Locker room facelift on the ball
- Locker room renovation on schedule.
- Renovations have been going on since April 23.

Due in part to recent thefts, new lockers are to be installed in the Wellness Center. The $150,000 provided by capital improvement funds also will be used to completely remodel the locker rooms.

OCCC locker room renovations are in full swing and on schedule.
Since April 23, the men and women’s locker rooms have been under construction to improve the environment of the two changing areas for their users.
Traci Wheeler, Recreation and Community Service director, said the locker rooms are on schedule to be finished on June 4, the original completion date.
All aspects of the locker rooms are seeing improvements. Most notably are the new handicapped door systems, designed to meet the needs of individuals better than ever before. Tiled floors will replace the previous stained concrete. There will be all new toilets, sinks, showers, and walls.
Only one problem could jeopardize the scheduled completion of the remodeling on time, Wheeler said.
“The lockers that are to be installed have been re-bid on.”
The initial locker proposal did not work out, she said. Even if the lockers are not completed by June 4, other improved features will be available.
If all goes well, the locker rooms will be able to support the large number of summer camp children from the community who come here June 4. Also, competitors at the Super Sprint Triathlon scheduled for June 9 will be able to enjoy the new additions.
