Council considers student suggestions

A simple suggestion given to The Leadership Council evolved into a proposal for campus dorms, said Civic Engagement Coordinator Jennifer Akpabio.
“We had received a few suggestion cards that were concerning vending machines,” Akpabio said. “Students were asking for more vending machines, so we asked them where they would like for them to be.
“We wanted the students to decide,” she said. “We didn’t want to make the decision for the whole college.”
It was then, she said, that the original idea began to multiply into more ideas.
Finals prep offered at luncheon

Anyone who would like free help to prepare for the upcoming finals, plus have a chance to win a $500 Wal-Mart gift card, should attend the Finals Prep Brown Bag event at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, or Wednesday, Nov. 28 in CU 1, Student Life Intern Alyson Stell said.
Under normal circumstances, the Brown Bag events are held once a week to once every other week, Stell said.
However, since finals prep is such an important topic, two classes will be held on the subject in a one-week period, giving students more opportunities to attend, Stell said.
