A little about me:

I'm grateful that figured out early what I wanted to do with my life. By the tender age of seven, I knew that I loved learning and that teaching was the gig for me. Between knowing what one wants and getting it, however, is often a long journey.

I earned my B.A. in Education in 1990, and my M.A. in English in 1992, both at the University of Central Oklahoma. In the fall of 1992, I began my career as a "gypsy scholar," teaching composition classes at OCU, UCO, TJC, and, of course, OCCC. All the while, I worked another part-time job to help support myself and my teaching habit. Sure, it was a little hectic, but the classroom is always a little fabulous, too.

After eight years, my devotion paid off, and I landed a full-time position at O-Triple-C in 2001. Now I teach literature and humanities courses as well as English composition. My passions include developing a course in folklore, studying world religions and mythology, and yoga. The more things change, the more they stay the same; life is still a little hectic and a little fabulous.

To keep my balance, I practice and teach yoga. When I'm in my office with the door closed, I just might be doing a headstand. ;-)

Namaste.
