Whether it is a handmade Rose Wreath or Wedding Ring quilt, a factory made look alike, or a doll quilt handed down for generations, quilts add a warmth and texture to any country room. Another important feature in country decorating is the use of antique furniture; hutches and pie cabinets are frequently used. As a finishing touch, country houses usually have pieces of glassware, farm tools, cookie jars, pottery, and baskets sprinkled throughout the living areas. Whether a person lives on a farm, in a city or suburb, or even on a house boat, country can be a cozy way to decorate a home.
