Personal Finance Online Course Orientation.

I would like to welcome all students enrolled for the Personal Finance Online Course. Some of you may be new to an online course so I will provide a step-by-step guide on how to assess the course over the Internet.
 

 

**Students need to self register for this course**
 

 

Step 1: The web address to the course is http://webct.occc.edu

Step 2: Once you get to the WebCT page you will have two options. You can either create myWebCT or Log on to myWebCT. Since this you first time you need to create myWebCT. So go ahead and click on create myWebCT. You will create your myWebCT only once. The next time you want to get to the course you click on Log on to myWebCT.

Step 3: Enter your personal information and create your own logon information. Please do not use your social security number for the WebCT ID and Password. Click continue and the system will ask you to enter your webCT I.D. and password again.

Step 4:Now you should be on the Courses page. Go to Add Course then go under Category and select management. On your right you will see Add Personal Finance, click on that.

Step 5: Now you will see “Add a course to my WebCT” click on Register.

Step 6: On the Course Added screen click on Go to Course.

Step 7: You are now on the Course Homepage.
 

 

What to do with the Personal Finance Homepage.

1) Please read the syllabus very carefully.

2) After reading the syllabus go to the contents icon and start reviewing the course.

3) After preparing for each chapter start working on the chapter quiz.

4) Please use the email in the course homepage to send me any mail.

5) You can use the bulletin board posting icon to post any concerns you have in the course.

6) Under the course tools go to the chat room during the assigned chat time and I will be available to answer any questions you may have.

7) Under the students grade icon you can view your grades.
